AVM is scary. We’re here to help.
An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a big, fragile tangle of arteries and veins. Rarely detected and poorly understood, these tangles can cause headaches, seizures, and aneurysms.
When caught and treated early, AVMs can be cured. Learn more about AVMs, browse our frequently asked questions,, or read detailed technical articles.
Who is AVM Foundation?
AVM Foundation was established in 2004 by Nancy and Brian, two engineering professors, after Nancy was diagnosed with an AVM in her brain. To help others, they have created AVM Foundation to provide an educational resource for people around the world. Learn more about us, or lend us some support.
